Important questions before initiating a restructuring

Imagine you start a new job in a new company and you face new co-workers and, of course, new manager (or group of menagers). Our experience allows us to comprehend it, but the most important thing is to look for opportunities of implementing changes. It’s nearly impossible to change anything if we don’t understand present structures and processes. That’s why I recommend Carol Hymowitz’s five questions the employees might be asked:
  • “What do you want to keep?”
  • “What do you want to change?”
  • “What do you want me to do?”
  • “What are you afraid I’ll do?”
  • “What else do you want to ask me?”
