A lot of articles about cloud computing and its great opportunites appeared in the last time. Among those capabilites we should enumerate at least:
- hardware and software separation;
- costs resulting from its usage;
- easy to transfer between operators environment;
In my opinion IT have made a great circle and returned to Mainframe concept (split data, usage appraising, keeping the user disassociated from the hardware), obviously with the preservetaion of progress which have been made in the last 30 years. I wonder if the next step will be to create small personal clouds which could be activated at home on any device. Washing machine, fridge and TV already have good PC’s computing power. It’s just a matter of connecting those appliances altogether so we can have our own little home-cloud.
